Princess Brooklyn is already a month old! She is such a good baby. She already weighs 10 pounds, and eats like a champ :) We can't imagine our lives without her, our family is complete.

Brooklyn's "birth" day

On the morning of November 5th we arrived at St. Joseph's hospital at 5:30am. After they prepped me for my c-section I headed to the operating room where Brooklyn Anne Sanford was born at 8:02am, weighing in at 8 pounds 4 ounces and 20 inches long. Everything went great! In recovery we were surrounded by lots of family, it was such a special time. Brooklyn & I stayed in the hospital for 3 days, it was so neat to have her in the room with me (remember, Rylie went to CHOC after she was born). Plus, I actually got to take a baby home when I left the hospital, such a different experience :) And like always my husband was amazing, he is so smitten with his two girls! "Thank you to everyone who stopped by, called, text, and thought about us. We are truely blessed!"

Here are a few pictures from the morning Brooklyn came into the world...

It's almost time!

Only 2 more days! but who's counting? Oh that's right...I AM!!! My c-section is scheduled for Monday Nov. 5th at 7:30am. This last week has not been fun, I haven't felt good all week (I think I had a touch of the flu or something). Thank goodness my parents are here and I have such a wonderful husband! We are all sooooo excited to meet this new baby girl.

We had a great Halloween, and I have lots of pictures. We also had a great time at the pumpkin patch. I'll try to post pictures soon...

Can't wait to share the news (and pics) of our new princess!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

I am counting the days!

I am 36 weeks pregnant, only 20 days until my c-section. I am above & beyond uncomfortable, sleeping doesn't really exist anymore. I am more than ready to have this baby. I must look really pregnant these days because people stop me all the time to touch my belly or ask when I'm due hahahaha. So far I've gained 40 lbs., pretty much all belly, I look like I'm going to fall over LOL. I seriously don't think my stomach can stretch anymore. At my last dr. visit he had mentioned that this looks like a big baby, I'm guessing around 8 pounds (but we'll just have to wait and see!). I'm still having contractions and my back is killing me, oh and in case you were wondering I still have my saliva problem (by the time I have the baby I will have been spitting in a cup for 7 months!).

On a totally different note...Rylie is so excited about her Grandma & Grandpa coming to stay at her house. She's also very excited about her birthday, we're doing a small family party because I will just be getting home from having the baby. She has requested balloons, cake, candles, party hats, & presents hahahaha. I can't believe my baby girl is going to be 3 years old, she has been such a trooper through this pregnancy (it hasn't been easy). I can't wait to see her with her new baby sister :)

Only 2 weeks & 6 days to go!!!

P.S. It's in the 90's & 100's AGAIN, not happy about that! We had about 3 days of cool Fall weather, and now we're back to summer temps.

Only 5 more weeks!

5 weeks from today we will get to meet the newest member of our family! I am so excited to see what she is going to look like. Yesterday also marked my 34th week, it's hard to believe I delivered Rylie at 34 weeks and with this baby I still have 5 more weeks to go. We're 99% sure we have a named picked out for our newest little princess, but I'm not going to say anything just yet in case we change it.
The next few weeks are going to be busy & exciting. The house & front yard are finally decorated for Halloween, Rylie has her costume, my Mom & Dad are coming, we still need a few things for the baby, the house needs some TLC (I haven't really been in the mood for "nesting" yet), and I need to start thinking about packing a bag for the the hospital & filling out paperwork.
Rylie spent the night at my Aunt's house this weekend, so Kyle & I went out to a nice quiet dinner. I think I was in bed by 8:00 hahahahaha. The most sleep Kyle & I have had in a long time!
I'm really bummed because we're getting more hot weather, it's suppose to be 107 here today! Not fun under normal circumstances, add being pregnant and it's down right miserable! Thank goodness for air conditioning.
Hope everyone has a great week!

Drum Roll Please!!!!!

I had my doctors appt. today and he gave me my c-section date!

Our baby girl will be here November 5th !
(as long as I don't go into labor before then)

We are so excited, it's so nice to have a light at the end of the tunnel. It's been a long 8 months. Only 40 days to go!

preggo pics.

My cousin Melissa was kind enough to take some maternity pictures of me today. I never got any done with Rylie because I was in the hospital. We're going to try and take some more in a couple of weeks, but here's a few she took today...

Look what my husband bought me yesterday!

A brand new 2012 Chevy Suburban!

Ever since I was 18 years old I have always wanted a Chevy Tahoe, you could say it was my "dream car". Well yesterday I finally got it! I actually got a suburban (we needed the extra cargo space, a double stroller won't fit in a Tahoe with the 3rd row seat up). I LOVE my new car, it drives so nice, you forget how big it is. I also got it in white, I missed having a white car, I don't think I'll ever own anything but a white car again.
Anyway...thanks to my amazing husband we will have enough room for our 2 baby girls and all of their stuff, and they will be super safe!
"Thanks Babe!"

L.A. County Fair 2012

One of our favorite "family traditions" is going to the L.A. County Fair every year. I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to go this year because of all the walking, I am very uncomfortable when it comes to a lot of walking these days. But we took our time and I sat & rested a lot. We always go during the week so it's not that busy, I think this is the last year we're going to get away with not taking Rylie on rides hahaha. There is so many other things to do at the Fair other than rides, my favorite part is all the animals (especially all the new babies!). Rylie's favorite part of the Fair has always been the train exhibit, and I think Kyle's favorite part this year was getting to pet a zebra!
They have the cutest exhibit where the kids get to pretend to plant crops, milk a cow, gather chicken eggs, pick their crops, and then go grocery shopping. Rylie really liked doing this with Daddy :)

I love that she LOVES her Daddy!

How many people can say that they have pet a zebra?

32 weeks pregnant

I am 32 weeks pregnant (as of yesterday!). I've been having contractions for over a week now. My  Dr. said everything looks good, I'm not dilated and the baby looks great! I start fetal monitoring tomorrow, just to keep an eye on my fluid levels and placenta. I had an in-depth ultrasound done last week and they said the baby is already at 4 pounds (which is what Rylie was when she was born). I  am counting the days until we get to meet our little girl...

30 weeks...

As of Sunday I am 30 weeks pregnant. This is a big milestone for me, one I've been dreading and one I've been looking forward to. 30 weeks means I'm almost done! Hopefully only 8 or 9 weeks to go (my Dr. is going to deliver me by c-section a little early). I've been a little nervous about hitting the 30 week mark because that's when my water ruptured with Rylie and I was hospitalized for 31 days. I know my chances of that happening again are only 10-30% but it still makes me nervous, I couldn't imagine being away from My Girl for that long (it was hard enough being away from my animals last time).

At my 3D/4D ultrasound I was 28 weeks and they "estimated" the baby was already 3 pounds 1 ounce, it'll be interesting to see how big she's going to be. If I go to 38-39 weeks it's going to be a totally different experience for me, I won't have to wait 33 hours to see my baby, she'll get to be in the room with me and visitors can actually come and see her (they won't have to wait 10 days!). And HOPEFULLY NO NICU!  Ahhhhh that sounds SO nice!

Here's to a happy, healthy, full-term baby!!!!!!!

FALL is coming!!!

Okay I know it's only September 1st, but I absolutely LOVE Fall, so I'm excited that it is on it's way...Plus I have dreaded this summer, so I'm glad to see it go (being pregnant in 100 degree weather is NOT fun!). I love everything about Fall, the colors, the smells, the decorations, going apple picking, pumpkin patches, Halloween, Thanksgiving, the cooler weather, and of course the arrival of our baby girl! I can't wait to be able to wear a sweater & Uggs again. I know California doesn't get a "real Fall" like other places do but I'll take what I can get. Our trees still change colors & lose their leaves, and the nights get cooler. I really want to get out my Fall decorations but I'll try and wait till at least the end of September. Plus I'm excited for Rylie to pick out her Halloween costume this year, she's seen them in the stores (I don't think Mommy is going to get a say this year, she's a big girl now).
Anyway...that's why my blog is already decked out for Fall, I just couldn't wait!!!!

puzzles

Rylie's new hobby this summer is puzzles. She can do 24-25 piece puzzles all by herself, I think that's pretty good for a 2 1/2 year old! Daddy has been buying her a new puzzle about once a week. She's getting so good at them, I guess I'm going to have to find harder ones. She's also enjoyed painting with water colors, stickers, coloring with markers, riding her bike, bubbles, side walk chalk & playing in her pool. We've had a pretty mellow summer, Kyle has been working A LOT and I haven't felt very good. All in all I think Rylie has still had a fun summer. We are ready for all the exciting things Fall will bring!

I took these pictures with my phone camera so they're not the best quality. She's done the Mickey Mouse puzzle so many times that it's worn out.

29 weeks and counting!

I am 29 weeks pregnant and in my 3rd trimester, won't be long now until we get to meet the newest member of our family. I have another ultrasound on Thursday to check on my partial placenta previa, we're hoping it has corrected itself. I had a doctor appointment last week and I've gained 27 pounds! I am going to be huge by the time I deliver this baby hahahaha. The day I had Rylie I had only gained 13 pounds (it was 17lbs. but I lost weight while in the hospital). Doctor said everything looks good and the baby's heart beat was strong. I'm not going to lie, I am very uncomfortable and can't wait until my doctor gives me a date for my c-section. I won't go into detail with everything I'm experiencing, but I am not a good pregnant person hahaha, the only part of pregnancy that I love is feeling her kick & move.

We have a lot to do before princess #2 arrives. My parents are coming into town when the baby is born and will be staying with us until Christmas. It's going to be so nice having them here, Rylie is excited that Grandma, Grandpa, Annie & Bliss (their 2 dogs) are going to be staying at her house :) She already has big plans for them hahahaha tea parties, the park, ect...
Well that's it for now. I wish I could post some pictures of Little Miss Rylie but my camera is in getting repaired, hopefully I'll have it back in the next couple of weeks.

Hope everyone had a wonderful summer...

3D/4D Ultrasound

We had a 3D/4D ultrasound done today, it was very exciting to get to see our baby girl. I never got the chance to have one with Rylie, so it was important to me to have one done with this baby. Kyle's Mom, Dad, Sister, Brother-In-Law, Niece, Nephew and my Aunt & Uncle were all there with us. Afterwards we all went to lunch, it was a very special day.
These ultrasounds are so amazing to me. We got to see her move around little bit, even smile! They estimate she's already 3 pounds. We got to take home a DVD & CD full of video & pictures. I'm getting SO excited about meeting our little princess! (wish we had a name for her hahahaha)

There she is! Can't wait to meet her.

HB with Avery

My cousin Josh, his wife Shawna & their daughter Avery came down from Oregon to visit. Rylie & I met them down in Huntington Beach one day. They were setting up for the U.S. Open so it was really busy, but we still had a nice time. Rylie did SO good sharing her sand toys with her cousin Avery (we're still learning to share), I was so proud of her!
It was really nice to see our cousins, we miss them very much and always love spending time with them!

*I ended the day with a trip to the hospital. Feeling a lot of discomfort, soreness, ect... (since I had complications with my 1st pregnancy they wanted me to be checked out). After 4 hours they sent me home. I'm resting a lot & trying to stay off my feet as much as possible. Ahhh the joys of pregnancy. I'm 25 1/2 weeks, only 3 more months to go!

The last few days...

I'm officially 6 months pregnant today! Oh, and I turned 34 years old yesterday (how did that happen?!?!). I had an ultrasound on Friday and got to see my baby girl, she's growing like a weed & kicking Mommy like crazy! I can't wait to meet her :) I also can't wait to stop spitting in a cup, that's right I still have my saliva problem (I've been spitting in a cup for 3 1/2 months now!). I am soooo tired of it, I'm praying that it stops as soon as I have the baby (which I'm told it will).

On a totally different note...My sister-in-law Kim & I took the kids to get their pictures taken together, well Rylie wanted nothing to do with it hahahaha. I guess she's tired of getting her picture taken (Mommy has taken too many over the last 2 1/2 years!). So, needless to say the "cousin" picture turned into a "brother & sister" picture of just Jake & Jenna... oh well I tried :)

I also wanted to wish my Dad a very Happy Birthday, his birthday was the day before mine. Pretty cool huh?

Anyway, that's about it for now. Hopefully I'll have some pictures to share next week. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

5 years...

I can't believe it's been 5 years since Kyle & I were married, and what an amazing 5 years it's been. I couldn't ask for a more loving, hardworking, supportive, helpful, understanding husband. I don't know what I would do without him.

Kyle,
I love you so much. You aren't only my husband, you're my best friend. Thank you for everything you do for our family. Our little girls are very lucky to have you as their Daddy. Happy Anniversary!

4th Of July 2012

We had a really nice 4th of July at Kyle's parents house. The weather was perfect & we ate lots of yummy food! I'm bummed I never got a picture of Kyle, Rylie & I, or of one of me and Rylie in our matching tank tops hahahaha. We hope everyone had a fun & safe holiday...

Rylie's sticker project

I bought Rylie this big thing of stickers today (she LOVES stickers!). One of the pages was of "paper dolls", and you could dress them. I couldn't believe how well she did, she even told me who was who. She amazes me everyday!
