The Furminator!

Anybody who knows me knows that I love animals, especially my own. But I hate the shedding! Our 4 year old lab Levi sheds more than any animal I've ever had in my entire life!! Last weekend when we over at Kyle's parents house for Easter I was venting on how much Levi sheds, Kyle's Aunt had mentioned that they use The Furminator deshedding tool on their dogs and it really seems to work. The next day Kyle and I went to Petco and bought one, it was sixty dollars! I figured if it works then it was worth every penny! When we got home Kyle checked eBay and found one for half the price, we took the one we had just bought back to Petco and ordered the cheaper one. Well, we got it in the mail today... you would not believe the amount of hair we got off Levi (and Cooper!), and this was after two days of brushing and a bath. I know this won't solve my shedding problem but it will definitely help! If you have pets I highly recommend this product, who ever invented this thing is genius!!! Plus Levi loves it, and it makes his coat look better too. If anyone has any other "tricks" on how to minimize shedding please let me know... I'm desperate!

Yum Yum!!!

Okay this stuff is definitely NOT on our diet, but we saw it today in Costco and had to try! It's called zebra popcorn, it's caramel corn drizzled with white & milk

San Diego Wild Animal Park

Kyle & I went to the San Diego Wild Animal Park with his sister and her family yesterday.We had such a nice day. The kids were so good and loved seeing all the animals. There was an exhibit called Butterfly Jungle that was absolutely amazing! You walk through this exhibit and there are butterflies everywhere. One landed on Kyle's hat and stayed there until it was time to leave. Jenna even got to pet a butterfly. We also went and fed the lorikeets, which Jenna & Jake loved! It's so much better going to a place like that with kids, watching their faces & reactions were priceless! The weather was pretty good so most of the animals were out, we also got to see a lot of baby animals. There was a 2 week old elephant and a 4 week old cheetah. I think Kyle's favorite part was the gorillas, we could have stood there all day watching them. If you've never been to the Wild Animal Park I highly recommend it, it's very beautiful and fun to visit. The work this park does in conserving these animals is incredible.

So this is what our house looks like right now...

... we pulled up all the carpet, tack board, and staples. Our carpet should be installed next week (fingures crossed!). My Mom and my niece Ashley are flying in on the 24th of this month, I'm hoping & praying that the carpet is in and we can get the house back to normal before they arrive!!!

Easter 2009

We had such a nice Easter. The weather was perfect and the food was great! Everyone had a really nice, relaxing day together. It was fun watching the kids do the Easter egg hunt, Jake really got into this year. As much as I love Kyle's family and enjoy being around them it's still very hard to be apart from my family on days like this.

Happy Birthday Jenna!!!

Our niece Jenna had her 5th birthday party last Saturday, I can't believe our little Jenna is five years old! She had such a fun day playing with her friends, eating cotton candy, jumping in the jumper, opening her presents, playing games and eating the yummy birthday cake her Grandma made.

Jenna loves horses, so you can only imagine how excited she was to get this horse t-shirt for her birthday...

Some friends will come & go, but some stay a life time. I am very fortunate to have such great people in my life that I can call friends. Thanks for loving me, putting up with me, and making wonderful memories with me. I have new friends, old friends and friends that I don't see anymore, but each and every one of you mean the world to me. So thank you for being you.
