Dead Pool 2009

Okay I'll admit the idea of a celebrity dead pool is pretty morbid, but what can I say I'm a sucker for a little competition. Kyle's friend Ramy started a blog for a "celebrity dead pool contest". Here's the link if you have no idea what I'm talking about

The older the person is when they die the less points you get, and the younger they are the more points you get - get it?!? The winner will be announced at the end of the year. There are a few rules like you have to pick at least one person under the age of 50.

"what we've been up to..."

I haven't "blogged" in a while so I thought I'd let everyone know what we've been up to. We're still working on the house (I'm so ready for it to be done!). Kyle is doing an amazing job, I don't know how he does it between going to work and then coming home to work on the house. I know it'll all be worth it once it's done but I'm ready for everything to get back to normal around here. I could never handle a big renovation!
My Mom and my niece Ashley are coming out to visit us in a couple of weeks (at the end of April). I'm so excited to see them! We're taking my Mom to Disneyland for her birthday when she's here.
Kyle and I also made all the arrangements for our 2 week summer vacation. At the end of June we're packing up the trailer and heading north! We're going up to Oregon for my cousin Josh's wedding, on the way up we're going to stop and camp in the Redwoods for a few days. We'll be in Oregon for 4 days with all of my family, and on the way home we're stopping at Yosemite Lakes to camp for the remainder of our vacation. We are both very excited to get out of town for awhile ( Kyle really needs a vacation!), I am very excited to get to spend some time with my family.
The next few weeks will consist of our nieces birthday party, Easter at Kyle's parents house, hanging out with our friends Garret & Jessica, getting my hair done (thank goodness), hopefully a camping/riding trip, finishing the house and getting outside to enjoy the beautiful weather!

Our 1 year blogging anniversary!

I'm a little late with this post. As of March 12th we've had our blog for an entire year, I can't believe I've actually stayed with it and kept it updated. The reason I started a blog was because so many of our friends and family live far away, this was a great way to keep them updated with our lives. Hope everyone has enjoyed reading our blog over the past year. Here's to another great year of "blogs"!!!

oh...and HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY TOO!!!

finally finished!

Kyle and I finally finished the room we've been working on, it was finished last week but I've been a slacker on posting pictures. This is the second room we've "re-done" in the last month and a half. We pulled up the carpet in this room because we're planning on getting new carpet throughout the house in a few weeks, I'll post more pics. once the carpet is in. These pictures just give you an idea of the "before & after", and all the hard work we did!

Our goal is to turn this room into a nursery eventually, that is "if" and "when" I ever get pregnant. I know once I get pregnant I wouldn't be much help since I shouldn't be around paint and scrapping ceilings (I really wanted to be part of putting together our baby's nursery). Kyle and I are not going to find out the sex of our baby so we made the room very neutral. We are both very happy with how it turned out. Now we just can't wait to fill it!!!

Jake turns 2!!!

Yesterday we went to our nephew's 2nd birthday party. I can't believe Jake is already two years old, boy how time flies! Jake loves football, basketball and baseball so his party was a sports theme, Mommy made it very special! He loved jumping in the jumper, hitting the pinata, opening his presents and eating pizza & cake! He had a really good day surrounded by his family & friends.
