We have a WALKER!

Last week Rylie really started walking more & more on her own, now she's walking all over the place. I never really pushed the issue of walking because I knew it was going to be a full time job chasing her everywhere, I guess I should be happy she didn't start walking until she was 13 months old. Another BIG milestone Rylie hit over the weekend was getting her big girl car seat, she was still in an infant seat because she didn't weigh enough. Wow my baby girl is really growing up.

Ocotillo 2010

We went on a camping/riding trip to Ocotillo Wells over the weekend. I was looking forward to it for the last 2 months, I couldn't wait to ride my quad, sit around the camp fire, and just hang out with good friends. Well things didn't go exactly as I had planned...Kyle & I had been sick all week with a cold, then on Friday morning as we were getting ready to leave I could tell I was getting an ear infection! By that night I was in terrible pain and the pressure was unbelievable. Saturday morning I woke up and drove 2 1/2 hours to Orange County to see my doctor, went home to rest for a little while, then drove another 2 1/2 hours back to camp. I am so thankful to everyone who helped Kyle with Rylie that day. Needless to say I missed out on the entire day Saturday. I still ended up having some fun. Rylie had a blast (and that's all that matters). I just feel bad because Kyle didn't get to ride very much, but I guess there's always other riding trips. There ended up being 33 of us that went camping, all the kids got along and had so much fun together. Here's just a few pictures from our weekend...

Rylie's visit with Santa

When I was little I would not go sit on Santa's lap, my Mom had to take my "Santa picture" of me standing next to a statue of Santa in the mall hahahaha. Well... it looks like my kid is going to be the same way. She did not like Santa! Poor Santa tried, he gave her a sucker, tried talking to her, even got out his Rudolph stuffed animal. This is the best picture they could get, all of the other pictures she was totally crying...

"Santa's Little Helper"

13 months ALREADY!!!

Okay... didn't we JUST have Rylie's 1st birthday?!?! I can't believe it's already been a month since her party- crazy!

*She has 8 teeth now, 4 came in at the same time! Poor baby was in so much pain.
*She's still not completely walking on her own yet but she sure does try, she wants to walk SO bad.
*She's really developing her own little personality, she cracks us up sometimes. S
he says Dada, dog, Mama, (she use to say uh oh) and we're working on "up"and "baby".
*She loves to go outside and see the birds, she can point out the moon & airplanes in the sky.
*She's a good eater.
*If you tell her to go get her baby, she will. She loves to push her baby in the stroller. She also hugs her babies & stuffed animals, it's SO cute!
*She just went on her first camping/riding trip (she's been camping but not out in the desert where we go dirt bike riding) she did AMAZING, she had so much fun and was such a good girl.
*She really loves playing with her toys & books.
*We went and saw Santa last week and she did not like him hahaha (takes after her Mommy).
*She still loves animals and being outside.
*She wears 12 months in clothes, size 3 diapers and a size 4 in shoes. Not bad for a preemie!
*She likes to feed the dogs their food and play in their water bowl
*She likes to sneak by me and go up the stairs, she giggles the whole way, it's so funny
* Everything is a phone, she puts everything & anything to her ear and babbles :)
* She's still in her infant car seat (she doesn't meet the weight requirement yet), but I think we're going to get her a "big girl" seat this week and see how she does.
Well that's all I can think of right now...

Our little girl is growing up so fast, it's so much fun watching her develope from a baby into a little person!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

We decorated the house the Sunday after Thanksgiving but I  forgot to post some pictures.
I love this time of year, always have. Growing up Christmas was always a big deal at my house, and I tend to make it that way for Rylie. I love turning on Christmas music while I decorate the tree & wrap presents, I love cuddling up to a fire a drinking a nice hot cup of tea, but most of all I love that this is the one time of year everyone gets together. Well... not this year, this will be my very first Christmas  (in 32 years!) that I won't be with my Mom & Dad on Christmas. Rylie & I will be going up to their house in January, so it helps to know that I'll be seeing them soon. Although I am sad that I won't be with them I know we will still have a wonderful Christmas.

Hope everyone is enjoying the season so far.

Here's what the Sanford house looks like around the holidays...

candy table pics.

For Rylie's birthday party I did a candy table instead of goodie bags, that way the adults could take something fun & yummy home too! My cousin Melissa took pictures for me at the party, I just wanted to share some of the cool pics. she took of the candy ...

Santa Ana Zoo 11-11-10

On Rylie's ACTUAL birthday (November 11th) My Mom, Kim, Jenna, Jake & I took Rylie to the Santa Ana Zoo. It was REALLY windy that day but we made the best of it and ended up having a nice time. I didn't take very many pictures with my camera that day, most of them are on my Mom's camera.
Rylie loved watching the monkeys jump around their cages, she also loves birds so she enjoyed watching the ducks.

I think the kid had a pretty good birthday don't you?!?! The zoo, a party AND Disneyland! Plus her Grandma from Washington and her cousin from Oregon came to visit. WOW what a lucky little girl.

Thanksgiving 2010

We went Kyle's Grandparents house in Henderson Nevada for Thanksgiving. Rylie got to spend time with Great Grandparents, Grandparents, Mommy, Daddy, her Aunt Kim, Uncle JT and cousins - what a lucky girl! Thanksgiving dinner was so yummy, and we had a great time.We need to visit more often!!!
