special visits...

Last week Rylie got to visit with her cousin Ashley, her "Auntie" Heather, "Uncle" Rick, and Mrs. Saeman (Rick's Mom). Ashley, Rick & Heather were all in town from Oregon. Ashley & her friend Nikki came over last Wednesday, and so did Maggie & Melissa for dinner. We had a really nice visit. On Thursday afternoon Rylie & I drove down to Huntington Beach to see The Saeman's. It's always so nice to see family, especially when they live far away and we don't get to see them very often.

Okay, so Rylie's probably going to kill me when she gets older for all these crazy pictures hahaha. But she's so dang cute, I can't resist! Plus, she has fun with Mama doing all these silly pictures.

7 months

Rylie turned 7 months old on June 11th. She weighs 15 pounds and is appox. 25 1/2 inches long.

*She's trying so hard to sit up on her own, but not quite there yet.
*She can put her binkie in & out of her mouth all by herself.
*She gives kisses (well she pretty much licks your face hahaha).
*She's still sleeping and eating good.
*She's starting to learn how to jump in her jumperoo.
*She's still wearing size 1 diapers, and is finally growing into 6 month clothes.
*She likes when I sing & read to her.
*She still loves being outside.
*She's almost crawling, she still scoots around on her tummy by pushing her feet.
*She loves Levi, for some reason he makes her laugh.
*She loves playing with all her toys & figuring out how they work.
*She's been sleeping in her own room in her crib for a month and a half now.
*We have to strap her into EVERYTHING now because she can flip herself out of things (car seat, bouncy seat, swing, ect...).

I can't believe all the things she's doing now, she's growing up so fast! Our little miracle baby is growing into a big girl (11 lbs. in 7 months-wow!).

busy weekend!

This weekend was so busy, but soooo worth it! We had a wedding on Friday night, I had a bridal shower on Saturday afternoon and a baby shower on Sunday. I was very honored to have been invited and able to share these special moments with friends.

Lisa: "The wedding was beautiful. Thank you for inviting us, we had a great time. I wish you and Brian nothing but the best. Hopefully I will see you at the dinner next month!"

Lyndsey: " I am so happy for you. Brandon is a lucky guy! I hope you have an amazing time next weekend, can't wait to see pictures! Thanks for inviting me to your shower, it was very nice"

Summer: "Wow what can I say, your shower was amazing! I had such a great time. I am so glad you were so surprised, the look on your face was priceless. You are such a great Mom, this new little baby is so lucky to have you & Steve as his parents. I am so thankful we are still friends after all these years."

*This weekend was probably the longest I've been away from Rylie since she was born. She stayed with Daddy Saturday & Sunday afternoon so I could go to the showers. Kyle said she did pretty good, it was so awesome to see her face when I got home, you could actually tell she missed me!

Rylie's 1st wedding

We took Rylie to her first wedding on Friday night. My friend Lisa got married down in Laguna Beach. The wedding was on a deck right on the water, it was beautiful. Everyone had a great time and Rylie was soooo good! She stayed up the whole time, she didn't want to miss a thing! She loved the music and watching everyone dance. She didn't go to bed that night until 11:00pm! She probably took a 15 minute nap in the morning and one in the afternoon and that was it!
It was so nice to hang out with old friends, I am very lucky to have them in my life. We also got to see a bunch of dolphins swim up the coast during the reception. Kyle & I had a great time, and we are so proud of our little girl.

A walk at the beach...

Last Wednesday I took Rylie down to Huntington Beach for our daily walk. We walked about 4 miles. This was Rylie's 1st time to the beach. We walked down to the end of the pier and back, we walked Main Street, and then we walked from Main St. to Golden West and back. It was pretty day, not too hot, not too cold.

Rylie's 1st Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great Memorial Day weekend. On Friday night Rylie discovered a new (well previously owned by her friend Chase) toy, she loves to sit in it and spin the ball. On Saturday we headed over to Kyle's parents house for a yard sale. Every Memorial Day Weekend the entire neighborhood has this huge yard sale, we hung out there all day, it was pretty fun. Then on Sunday we got a visit from my niece Lauren and her Mom Roberta (they live in AZ), it was great to see them. This was the 1st time Roberta has seen Rylie, and Lauren hasn't seen her since she was 6 weeks old. After they left we headed down to Huntington Beach for a BBQ and some fun in the pool at Kyle's friends condo. This was Rylie's 1st time in a swimming pool and she loved it! She got to wear her bikini that her Auntie Kim bought her. It was really nice to see everyone and hang out for a while. Rylie got to hang out with her friend Kendall whose 2 1/2 months older than her. Kendall & Rylie were both preemies, but you can't tell that anymore! They are both healthy, growing girls. Rylie got another toy this weekend from her Auntie Kim (it used to belong to her cousins Jenna & Jake) she loves this thing, I think it's her new favorite toy! On Monday we just hung out around the house, Kyle covered our back patio. We BBQ'd a tri tip and ate outside on our new patio furniture, it was a great night! After dinner we watched a movie, a perfect end to a wonderful weekend.
