Good-bye KW. I'll Miss You Pam!!!

Well after 7 long years at my job at Kelly-Wright Hardwoods I had to say good-bye today. With the way our economy is right now the company had to do some lay offs. I was one of the ones that had to go. The worst part of this whole thing was saying good-bye to everyone, I had made some very good friends there & I will miss them terribly! On the upside I think I was ready to leave, so really this is a blessing in disguise. It was time for me to move on, time for the next chapter of my life. I worked at Kelly-Wright for a year and a half in high school and then went back after teaching preschool for awhile, I've worked for the company for a total of 8 1/2 years! I had some good times and some bad times at Kelly-Wright but overall it was worth it, I got the opportunity of meeting one of the most amazing people in my life.

"I love you Pam, I will treasure our friendship forever! Thanks for everything."

Chase & Emma - Jan. 27,2009

I went over to my friend Becky's house on my lunch break today to take pictures of her baby and my friend Amy's baby, they're 2 weeks apart. As usual I went overboard on the picture taking :) I love babies, so you can only imagine how ecstatic I was to have TWO newborns in the same room! I'm not "technically" their Auntie but I love them like they are my own niece & nephew. Spending the afternoon with these two beautiful babies made me want one of my own even more.

"Chase & Emma, Auntie Julie loves you!"

A day of Cameron & puppies!

On Saturday Kyle & I went over to my brother John's house to see my nephew Cameron. We haven't seen Cam in a long time so it was really nice to get to spend some time with him. My brother's dog had puppies 6 weeks ago so we got to play with them too! It was a really nice day...

My Bucket List...

If you've never seen the movie Bucket List with Jack Nicholson & Morgan Freeman I highly recommend you check it out! As I was sitting at my desk today (bored out of my mine) I started to think of all the things I want to do & see before I die. Here's a few things I came up with...

-I really want to go up in a hot air balloon some day
-go to NYC and see the Statue of Liberty & Ground Zero
-go see Arlington Cemetery
-go on a African Safari
-see the Great Wall of China
-give birth to my children & be the best Mommy ever!!!!!
-see Niagara Falls
-go down in a shark cage
-witness the Northern Lights
-take a cruise to the Bahamas
-stay in one of those "over water bungalows" in Fiji
-drive across the country (road trip!)
-go to Yellowstone National Park
-go on a sleigh ride in the snow
- be in a movie (okay TV will do)
-walk up the steps at the Lincoln Memorial
-travel to all 50 states
-see the Eiffel Tower
-travel through Europe

I'm sure there are a million other things I want to see & do in this lifetime but those will do for now LOL. The main thing I've always wanted to do my whole life was swim with dolphins and luckily my dream came true on our honeymoon in Cancun, what an experience!!!!!

*Think about it... what would be on your "bucket list"????

The CARDINALS are going to the SUPERBOWL!!!!!!!!

The Arizona Cardinals beat the Philadelphia Eagles yesterday! I don't usually watch football, to be honest I hate football! But I knew this was an important game to Kyle so I sat and watched it with him. And I must say it got kinda exciting towards the end. Kurt Warner & Larry Fitzgerald ROCK! I'm so glad the Cardinals won, Kyle was so stoked yesterday. GO CARDINALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is for you Leslie...

I was on my friend Leslie's blog this morning and she did a list of her 10 favorite things. Little things that make our lives fun! Not necessities but things we like to spoil ourselves with every now and then. So I thought I'd share a few of my "favorite things" (not in any particular order).

-Ugg boots, okay not actual "Uggs" because I'm too cheap to buy the real ones. But I love Beach Feet from Tilly's
-Pro Active by Rodan & Fields
-my Tiffany's oval chain necklace that I wear almost everyday!
-Victoria's Secret hoodies & sweats by PINK
-Lipton's Raspberry White Ice Tea
-bare minerals make-up by Sephora
-Victoria's Secret Body Rush Spray (candy)

-tinted lipglass by MAC
-Vanilla Bean Noel lotion from Bath & Body work
-Shimmer body powder (pure seduction) by Victoria's Secret

These were just off the top of my head. Sorry the pictures are kind of blurry.
What are some of your favorite things?

some of Kyle's favs are (not in order):

-Pepsi (not coke, it has to be Pepsi)

-Arizona Cardinals

-Levi (his yellow lab)

-dirt bikes (okay really anything to do with dirt bikes)

-Bud light

-Old Spice High Endurance deodorant (pure sport)

-Finesse Shampoo & Conditioner 2 in 1

-Crest whitening plus Scope toothpaste

-Edge shaving gel with Aloe

-Salt & Pepper pistachios from Costco

See how simple guys are compared to us "complex" girls. It doesn't take much (or a lot of money) to make Kyle happy.

It's just hair!

Anyone who knows me knows that I always "change" my hair. After all "it is just hair", it'll grow back & can always be dyed. People always have to make a comment when I change my hair, sorry but I don't always like looking the same. What can I say I like change. Last year I went really dark, and now I'm slowly trying to go blond again. I don't really like using bleach on my hair so the process of going blond means I have to go through a "golden" stage, hopefully by summer I'll be back to "my" blond color. Last week I went and had 3 to 4 inches cut off (which was hard!) and had my hair lightened (again). I really like the cut and I'm happy with how it all turned out. When I change my hair it's like I reinvent myself , it's kinda fun!

So remember "It's just hair!".

Guess who's birthday it is today? ! ? ! ? !

IT'S LEVI'S BIRTHDAY TODAY!!! He turned 4 years old. Our dogs are like our kids so I had to give a shout out to one of the best dogs ever!
"Happy Bithday Levi, we love you buddy!"
(I know this isn't the best picture of Levi but it was all I could find at the moment)

It's also my parents dog's birthday today too, Annie and Levi were born on the exact same day in the exact same year.

"Happy Birthday Annie!"

"I had a little accident over the weekend"

WARNING!!!!
If you don't like the sight of blood don't scroll down to the pictures in this post!!!
On Saturday afternoon Kyle & I went riding with some friends out by our house. I had a little accident, I went over the handle bars of my quad. Busted up my elbow pretty good, had the wind knocked out of me, I have a 2 inch cut on my back, hurt my hip and a couple of ribs. The scariest part was when my body went into shock right after the accident happened, I've never experienced that before so it kinda freaked me out. I was in a lot of pain the first day, but now I'm just really sore! Here's a couple of pictures of my elbow...

What's in store for 2009...

Can you believe it's 2009?!?!
I can't really complain about 2008, we had a lot of fun, the year was good to us. Of course like millions of other people I hope to lose weight this year, eat healthier, drink more water and exercise more. I really need to start working on not letting people get to me and upset me. This year has already brought the birth of my friend's beautiful baby girl (1/3/09), and my cousin Josh will be getting married (in June), my cousin Michael will be getting out of the Marine Corp. (thank goodness!), my Dad will be turning 60 in July, and hopefully Kyle and I will have a baby (or at least get pregnant). I have a really good feeling about this new year. I hope everyone is blessed with a happy and healthy 2009...

Introducing Emma Grace!!!

My friend Amy had her baby on Saturday night, she had a little girl. They named her
Emma Grace Schultz Kalla
she was born at 10:15pm, she weighed 7 pounds and was 19 & 1/2 inches long. She is such a cutie!
"Congratulations Amy, Moe & big brother Bradley!"
Emma and her "Auntie" Julie
Isn't she gorgeous?!?!

New Year's Eve 2008

Kyle and I went camping and dirt bike riding over New Year's with some friends. We went out to Cal City for 3 1/2 days, it was a lot of fun! Played a little beer pong, sat around a camp fire, drank a lot of beer and hung out with some really good people (what more could you ask for?!?!). We hope everyone had a wonderful New Year's, we sure did! Here's to a happy & healthy 2009!!!
