"Mama had a boo boo"

Last week I got a really bad infection in my knee. I could barely walk for 3 days, and I was in A LOT pain for about a week (probably the worst pain I've ever been in). My doctor tried to numb my knee before he cut it open & drained it, but for some reason it didn't get numb and I felt EVERYTHING! I had to go to a Orthopaedic specialist, they talked about admitting me but decided not to. I'm on a 12 day cycle of antibiotics, it's slowly getting better (thank goodness!). Rylie kept saying "Mama boo-boo knee", she was really concerned about her Mommy :)
I'll spare you the gross picture of my uncovered knee.

"Thanks Mom for all of your help!"

Our monthly visit to D-land

Rylie and I took our monthly visit to Disneyland when my Mom was here, Auntie Maggie & cousin Melissa came too! We had such a wonderful day together. I am so blessed to have so many people who take the time to share these special moments with my daughter...

One of Rylie's FAVORITE movies is Monster Inc., she was so excited when we saw Sully!

I may or may not have bought my 2 year old cotton candy lol

random pictures...

I was sooo behind on my "blogging", and I had a lot of pictures on my camera. So as my friend Jamie would say here's a "photo dump!" hahahaha

We get lots of finches in our backyard. I love watching all of the birds.

"Happy 5th Birthday Jake!"

Our nephew Jake turned 5 years old on March 3rd. We had pizza and ice cream, and enjoyed an evening of cousins playing together.

I didn't take very many pictures, but I had to share this one!
Happy, happy birthday Jake! We love you!

A blast from the past!

Some of you might be too young to remember Farrell's Ice Cream Parlours, but for those of you who know what I'm talking about...THEY'RE BACK! And they're as yummy as ever! I remember going to Farrell's as a kid, so I wanted to make sure we took my Mom while she was here. We had lunch (and of course dessert!), it was a nice afternoon, brought back a lot of memories :)

Mmmmm ice cream nachos!

Don't worry she only took a couple of licks & one little bite. "Thanks Grandma!"

L.A. Zoo

My Mom came down from Washington to visit for 2 1/2 weeks...We went to the L.A. Zoo one day while she was here. It was such a great day, the weather was perfect and it wasn't busy at all! All the animals were out, and we even saw some babies! Rylie was such a good girl and loved watching the animals. I love days like these...

"My Little Monkey!"

This was a cool prairie dog exhibit

Rylie wasn't too sure of this chimpanzee when he came up to the glass

I know this isn't the greatest picture (taken through a fence), but I had to share this baby orangutan and his Mommy! I could've sat and watched them all day.

Uncle Jimmy's 80th Birthday

Back on February 26th we had a 80th birthday party for my Uncle Jimmy. My family is Scottish, so it was only fitting to have a Scottish celebration in his honor (we even had a Piper!). The party was held at the Newland Barn in Huntington Beach, we all had a very nice time celebrating 80 years of a wonderful man...
