Rylie's 1st trip to Disneyland!

Anyone who says a one year old is too young for Disneyland is totally wrong! Rylie loved the "Happiest Place On Earth!" My Mom, my niece Ashley, my cousin Melissa & I took Rylie to Disneyland the Monday after her birthday. We had such a wonderful day together, I am so glad Rylie's 1st time to Disneyland was spent with such amazing people! We went on a bunch of rides, ate a yummy dinner at Ariel's Grotto, and got to watch World Of Color over at California Adventure (it was amazing!). Rylie's favorite ride was Small World, she loved watching all the dolls. She was such a good girl, she even wore her mouse ears for most of the day. She may not remember her first time to Disneyland & California Adventure but WE sure will, we have tons of pictures to show her when she gets older.

Rylie's 1st Birthday Party!

We had a birthday party for Rylie back on November 13th. It was a "monkey" party in our backyard with all of our friends & family. We couldn't of asked for a better day. Rylie had so much fun! She is truly blessed to have so many people in her life that love her. I want to thank my cousin Melissa & my friend Shelly for taking pictures for me, I REALLY appreciate it! I also want to thank everyone for making Rylie's 1st birthday so special, it was a great day!

Happy 1st Birthday Rylie Makena!

Well... our baby turns a year old today. I can't believe it!! Last year this was the happiest, scariest, most surreal day of our lives. We finally got to meet our precious LITTLE angel! What a fun year we've had, can't wait to see what's in store for the next one.

Our new fireplace

Ever since we moved into our house (over 6 years ago) I have always HATED our fireplace! It had red brick, a gold frame around the glass doors and no mantel. It was just an eye sore. Well... we FINALLY re-did it! We put in a granite hearth, new doors, a mantel, and had some stone work done. We are so happy with how it turned out, it changes the entire room! I don't have a "before" picture, but here's what it looks like now...

Rylie's 1st Halloween

Rylie's 1st Halloween was a lot of fun! Couldn't of asked for a better day. We went over to Kyle's sister's house for dinner, pumpkin carving, bobbing for apples & some trick or treating! Rylie had so much fun with her cousins. I let her have her very 1st Hershey bar (Grandpa would be proud!) she gobbled it down & wanted more hahaha. She also carved her first pumpkin with Mommy, she loved putting her hand inside and feeling all the "pumpkin guts". Jenna really wanted to bob for apples so Kim filled up a tub and let the kids play, Rylie got soaked playing in the water and grabbing all the apples. By the time we put on costumes to take some pictures my little ladybug was all tuckered out from her fun day. She fell asleep in her stroller trick or treating :)

The day before Halloween...

The day before Halloween we went apple picking up in Oak Glen with some friends (there was 16 of us). We also got to see a cool pumpkin patch. It was such a wonderful day, the kids had so much fun running around picking up pumpkins & picking apples off the trees. The weather was perfect, crisp & cool. It is sooo beautiful up there, especially this time of year. I really want to start making traditions for Rylie, I think this is going to one of them!

spaghetti!

One night last week I let Rylie feed herself dinner. She had SO much fun! These are the moments I look forward to as a mother, I could have sat and watched her make a mess with spaghetti forever. She actually did very well, some even made it in her mouth hahahahaha...

I love the fact that's she's actually sucking the spaghetti off her arm LOL
