Shake, Rattle & Roll ! ! ! ! !

Southern California was just hit with a 5.8 earthquake about an hour ago. It was centered in Chino Hills, there doesn't seem to be any reports of injuries or major damage. I was sitting in line at the drive thru at the bank, I thought something was wrong with my car when it started shaking, then realized it wasn't the car - we were having an EARTHQUAKE! There's been a few aftershocks too. Nothing like a good ol' earthquake to get heart pumpin'!

"TOTALLY AWESOME!"

Like I mentioned in previous posts Kyle & I had an 80's party to celebrate both of our 30th birthdays. Here are "just a few" out of the hundreds of pictures that were taken...enjoy!

The party was a lot of fun. It was so great to see everyone dress up in their favorite "80's attire". There was everything from jelly shoes to banana clips! Our table decorations consisted of pop rocks, razzels, ring pops, and fun dips. We also had a margarita machine, keg and karaoke/DJ set up. It was truly a birthday to remember! "Thanks" to everyone that came, you made it very special (and FUN!)

Happy Birthday To Me (and my Dad)

Last Monday was my 30th birthday. I'm still in shock that I'm thirty years old, I don't feel thirty, do I look thirty? I remember when I was younger I used to think thirty was really old!
I started my birthday celebration early, on Sunday I went and got myself a pedicure then headed to Orange County to have lunch with my friend Amy. Oh and I should mention that Sunday (July 20th) was my Dad's 59th birthday - "Happy Birthday Dad, I love & miss you!
On my actual birthday my sister-in-law Kim, our friends Alicia & Jen, and I went to Glen Ivy Hot Springs for the day. It was sooooo relaxing! I got a full body massage, sat in the mineral pool, relaxed in the spa, sat in the sauna, and then went down to "the grotto" for a body hydrating treatment (which means these girls painted this slimy green stuff all over our bodies then sat in this really hot room for 15 minutes hahahahaha it was quite interesting!). It was a wonderful day of relaxation and good company. "Thanks girls".
Later that night Jen and her husband Casey took Kyle and I to dinner at Wood Ranch, it was so good! After dinner we walked around the lake at Dos Lagos... a perfect end to a perfect day!
Now I can't wait for Saturday... our 80's party is going to be "totally awesome".

If you scroll down to the very end of the page you will find a "playlist" of some music. So if it's playing something you don't want to listen to you can always change the song while you're looking at our blog. Enjoy...

I'm turning the big THREE OH ! ! !

So this coming Monday (July 21st) I will officially be thirty years old! I can't believe it, I still feel like I'm 18. I took Monday off from work, me and a few friends are going to Glen Ivy Hot Springs for the day! I'm so excited, it's going to be so relaxing sitting by the pools all day, getting a massage and just hanging out with good friends. And since Kyle & my birthdays are only like two weeks apart we're having a "joint" 30th birthday party next weekend at his sister's house. It's going to be an 80's party so that should be a blast!
I'm seriously okay with turning thirty, I just thought I'd have kids by now, that's the only thing that I'm having a hard time with. Other than that I think I'm doing pretty damn good for turning 30 years old - I still can't believe it though!!!

Becky's having a BABY!!!

My friend Becky and I have been friends since we were 4 years old (that's 26 years people!). Back in June of 2004 I had the honor of being a bridesmaid in her & Pete's wedding (she was also a bridesmaid in my wedding last year). Becky is one of those people that you just love being around. Besides being drop dead gorgeous (and having a perfect body) she's funny, caring and the most lovable person you'll ever meet! Well... I'm very excited to say that Becky & Pete are expecting their first baby in December!!! I am so excited for them, they are going to be amazing parents.

Becky's ultrasound picture at 12 1/2 weeks...
Becky at 18 weeks pregnant!
Congratulations Pete & Becky, We love you guys!
and we can't wait to meet the baby!!!

A weekend of tiling!!!

We've been wanting to tile the downstairs of our house for a while now, our dog Diesel isn't completley potty trained so our carpet has become pretty gross! Kyle & I went "tile shopping" last Saturday and finally found something we both liked. We spent the entire weekend pulling up carpet, prepping floors, mixing/pouring cement, and cutting/laying tile. It was so hot & humid this weekend that it made the task even more tiring. I tried to help as much as I could but Kyle really worked his butt off ("thanks babe, it looks great!"). We aren't completley done yet but here are some pictures of our progress...

This time last year...

Exactly one year ago today (07/09/07) Kyle & I left on our honeymoon to Cancun. It was such an amazing vacation! Hopefully one day we'll be able to go back. We layed out at the pool and on the beach everyday! My favorite part of the trip was getting to swim with the dolphins (something I've waited to do my whole life!). We stayed at an "all-inclusive" resort which is the best thing ever! We'll probably never go on another vacation that's not all-inclusive (all you can drink & eat 24 hours a day), they even had an unlimited amount of liquor in our hotel room that was restocked everyday. Kyle and I came away with many great memeories, ones that will last a lifetime...
Oh how I miss Cancun!!!

Happy Anniversary to us!

Kyle and I celebrated our one year anniversary yesterday (July 7th). It's hard to believe that a whole year has already gone by, it seems like just yesterday I was walking down the aisle. I am so lucky to have Kyle as my husband, he is such an amazing person and I love him so much! "Thanks babe for everything, you are not only my husband but my best friend." Since I had to work on our anniversary we really couldn't do very much to celebrate, but Kyle's sister & brother-in-law (2 of my most favorite people in the world!) gave us a gift card to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse for our anniversary so we went and had an amazing dinner! "Thanks Kim, JT, Jenna & Jake, we really enjoyed our yummy dinner. You guys are the best!". Kyle surprised me by sending a beautiful bouquet of flowers to my work, and since guys don't really like flowers I got him a new shirt and some boxers : )
hard to believe this was us a year ago...

The beautiful flowers my husband sent me for our anniversary (this picture doesn't do them justice, they are really gorgeous!)

the beautiful dessert we were too stuffed to eat so we took it home
we went to the Ruth's Chris in Anaheim (by Disneyland)

It was nice getting to spend some time together and enjoy a great meal. Here's to many, many more anniversaries together!!!

Happy 4th Of July!!!

Kyle & I started our fourth of July off by sleeping in, it was so nice not having to get out of bed until noon. Then we went over to our friends Bryan and Shelly's house for a little while. After that we headed to Kyle's old neighborhood to hang out with his friends and their family. Overall we had a great day! Here are just some of the pictures I took, enjoy...

Dinner at The Melting Pot...

Last Thursday night (July 3rd to be exact) Kyle & I went to dinner at The Melting Pot in Brea with some friends. If you've never been to a fondue restaurant I suggest you go and experience it at least once. It was a lot of fun and the food was okay but definatley not worth the money, the bill for the 10 of us came to $735 dollars, that included a $106 dollar tip!!! But I do have to say we had a great night together ("thanks Jen for the entertainment!" hahahahahaha), I haven't laughed that hard in a long time! Hopefully we can all plan on going out to dinner together once a month. Thanks guys for an unforgettable evening!!!
