15 weeks preggers!

Okay I'm still not 100% but at least I can say that I'm feeling a little bit better. I've tried to keep myself busy this week by going out to dinner with friends and shopping, I think that's helped. I can't believe my little munchkin is the size of an apple! That's pretty exciting!!! Like I said, I went to dinner with some friends last night and some of them have kids, they gave me some good advise and made the whole labor & delivery experience a little less scary. Only 5 1/2 more months and I finally get to meet my little angel!!!

babycenter.com:
How your baby's growing:
Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds. Finally, if you have an ultrasound this week, you may be able to find out whether your baby's a boy or a girl! (Don't be too disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down your baby's sex depends on the clarity of the picture and on your baby's position. He or she may be modestly curled up or turned in such a way as to "hide the goods.")

catching up with friends...

Wow what a week of catching up with friends! Last Sunday night I went to dinner with two of my good friends from high school, Tana & Andrea. I haven't seen Andrea in like 9 years! It was so nice to see their little boys and be able to catch up. Then on my birthday (Tuesday the 21st) Kyle and I went to dinner with our friends Garret & Jessica, man it was good to see them!! I love hanging out with them, we need to get together more often. And finally last night I went to dinner with "the girls" who I always enjoy seeing and catching up with. It was all girls I went to school with and grew up with (Leslie,Summer,Becky,Kelly,Kim and Amy). We had such a nice night talking, eating great food, and planning our next "get together".
It's been nice getting out of the house and getting my mind off how yucky I feel.
"Thanks everyone for a wonderful week, you all mean the world to me".

Summer vacation: Part 3

For the last part of our vacation we left the trailer at my Aunt's house in Oregon and headed up to the San Juan Islands, WA to spend some time at my parents house. Again, I still wasn't feeling well but I managed to have a good time. We spent the 4th of July on the Island, which is their biggest day of the year. They have a parade, BBQ and fireworks display. It's a nice "small town" feel. We also got to experience one of my parents neighbors feeding the bald eagles, he lays food out for them everyday at 4:30, I got some amazing pictures of them!!! Overall our stay on the Island was very relaxing (just what we needed!!!). We also learned a fun new card game and got to spend time with my uncle & cousins. My niece Brook & nephew Jake were also there (we missed you Ashley!), it was nice getting to spend so much time with them too. Levi & Diesel had a blast playing with my parents 2 dogs, we were all sad to leave :(

" Thanks Mom & Dad, we had a great time and enjoyed all the home cooked meals!"

Summer vacation: Part 2

For the second part of our vacation we headed up to Grants Pass, Oregon for my cousin Josh's wedding. They got married at Indian Mary campground, which we all grew up going to as kids so it was pretty special. They had the rehearsal dinner at my Aunt & Uncle's house the night before the wedding so it was nice to get to visit with family. The wedding was a lot of fun. While we were in Oregon Kyle got a chance to go river rafting with everyone (I didn't go because I'm pregnant), him & my nephew Jake had a lot of fun floating down the river together. We also got a big group of family together and took the Hellgate Jet Boat cruise down the Rogue River. Again I didn't get to go because I'm pregnant but in the middle of the jet boat ride they stop for dinner at this big beautiful lodge, my Uncle Rick drove me to the the lodge so I could at least have dinner with everyone (which I appreciated very much!!!). We actually put this dinner together to celebrate my Dad's 60th birthday and my brother Brian's birthday. My Dad's actual birthday isn't until July 20th (the day before mine!) but we celebrated it early since we were all together. It was so nice to see everyone and get a chance to hang out for a few days. Here's some pictures of the wedding, river rafting, the jet boat dinner and just hangin' out at the campsite...

Congratulations Josh & Shawna!!!

So the main reason Kyle and I took a 2 1/2 week vacation up to Oregon & Washington was to see my cousin Josh get married. It was a beautiful wedding, and I am so happy for him & Shawna. Josh is more like a little brother to me than a second cousin, so it was a very emotional day for me (and pregnancy hormones didn't help!).

"you may kiss the bride!"

"Congratulations guys, we all love you so much. It was a beautiful day and I'm so glad I was able to be a part of it. I wish you both all the love & happiness in the world!"

Summer vacation: Part 1

We got back from our vacation on July 8th (I know, I know I'm a blog slacker!). I took over 700 pictures so I'm going to break up our vacation into three parts. The first stop we made on our little adventure was in Klamath California. I was still feeling pretty sick (among other things I was experiencing) but I tried really hard to make the best of it. We had a nice, relaxing time. The Northern California coast is absolutely beautiful, our campsite wasn't what we expected but it'll be a funny memory :) We went to the Trees Of Mystery one day and got to see Paul Bunyan and his blue Ox, if you're ever up that way I recommend you stop at the Trees Of Mystery (it's worth the 14 dollars). We did some hiking and got to see some elk. All in all we enjoyed our time spent in Klamath. And the dogs had a great time running in the field and going on lots of walks, the only bad thing is Diesel got some ticks!

only 26 more weeks to go!

I had another doctor's appointment and got to hear the baby's heartbeat again, it was a lot stronger this time than the first time we heard it. I'm still not feeling all that great, I had the flu so that certainly didn't help matters. I have my good days so that's what I look forward to. At my next doctor's appointment (August 13th) they're going to run some tests, then at my 20 week appointment we'll get our first ultrasound!

babycenter.com:
How your baby's growing:
This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb. In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. His body's growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of his body. (His legs still have some lengthening to do.) He's starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over his body. Your baby's liver starts making bile this week — a sign that it's doing its job right — and his spleen starts helping in the production of red blood cells. Though you can't feel his tiny punches and kicks yet, your little pugilist's hands and feet (which now measure about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active.

2 years ago today...

Two years ago today I was lucky enough to marry one of the most amazing people I've ever met!
Our wedding day was so special, we are glad we were able to spend it with the people we love. I just can't believe it's already been two years, it seems like just yesterday I was trying on wedding dresses and picking out flowers.

"I love you Kyle, you make me so happy. Thank you for always being there for me. I couldn't ask for a better husband. Happy Anniversary!"

Another week down...

Wow 13 weeks already!!!

babycenter.com:
How your baby's growing:
Fingerprints have formed on your baby's tiny fingertips, her veins and organs are clearly visible through her still-thin skin, and her body is starting to catch up with her head — which makes up just a third of her body size now. If you're having a girl, she now has more than 2 million eggs in her ovaries. Your baby is almost 3 inches long (the size of a medium shrimp) and weighs nearly an ounce.
