three simple words..

life is good.

I was at a friends house the other day and she had a little sign hanging in her kitchen that simply read...life is good.

As I sat on her kitchen floor playing with alphabet magnets on her fridge with my precious daughter, I thought to myself "life IS good".

Life isn't always perfect, but it is good! And sometimes it's great, or even amazing! I am truly blessed to have the life I live.

Sometimes we need to be reminded how lucky we are, and in my case it was a little sign hanging in a friends kitchen that reminded me that no matter how tired I am, no matter how much weight I gain, no matter how messy my house might be...life is good!

Daddy got Rylie a surprise today!

By the time we got home from our play date today Daddy had already left for work, but look what was waiting for Little Miss Rylie when she got home...a new sandbox! Kyle and I wanted to get this for her for Christmas but it was "out of season", so when he was in Toys R Us today (getting baby gates) and saw that they had it in stock he HAD to get it. I can't wait to set it up tomorrow, she's going to love it (she loves playing in sand!).

Our friends Kris & Melissa have a little girl named Kendall (I've mentioned her before), she's few months older than Rylie. We went over to her house today for a play date. There was 4 little girls all around the same age, they had a great day! I took some pictures but they didn't turn out that good, here's a few from our play date at The Block's!

a day at the park

Rylie and I are going to try to go to the park at least once a week. This is one of the things I've been waiting to do with her since she learned to walk, get some lunch and go hang out at the park. She had so much fun running around, going on the swing, going down the slide, and watching the skateboarders. Here are some pictures of my big girl...

Our trip to San Juan Island, WA

Rylie and I went up to my parents house for 2 1/2 weeks (Jan. 5-22). We had such a great time, Rylie LOVED hanging out with her Grandma & Grandpa. My niece Ashley drove up from Oregon to see us, which made our trip extra special ("Thanks Ash!"). I wanted it to snow SO bad, the weather was pretty mild but we did get one night of snow. I took full advantage of the snow, I went and played in my pajamas with my parents dog hahaha she liked catching snow balls. I also got a few pictures of Rylie in it the next morning before it melted. Rylie was so good on the airplane, in the car, and on the ferry. I was SO proud of her. Rylie loved playing with my parents dogs, making Grandma, Grandpa & Ashley turn everything on every morning, and making messes ALL OVER the house. But she sure was happy to see her Daddy when we got home.

Glamis 2010

We went to Glamis for a few days for New Year's. Rylie had so much fun playing in the sand with her cousins. It was really busy so I didn't ride much, but we still had a blast! The first night we were there the wind was SO bad I thought our trailer was going to blow over hahahaha. Other than that the weather was pretty good (cold, but good). It was really nice hanging out with friends & family... Love you Jamie!

(FYI...those are dollar bills hanging in some of those pictures, people write on them and staple onto the walls. Kyle, Rylie & I did one!)

Christmas 2010

We spent Christmas Day over at Kyle's sisters house. We had a great time, until Rylie got 103 temperature! We took her to Urgent Care the next day, her fever finally broke on three days later. Other than that we had a nice time, it was great to see Kyle's family. Here's some pictures from our day...
