In My Daughter's Eyes
This is one of my favorite songs by Martina McBride, it's called IN MY DAUGHTER'S EYES...
In my daughter's eyes
I am a hero I am strong and wise
And I know no fear
But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I see who I want to be
In my daughter's eyes
In my daughter's eyes
Everyone is equal
Darkness turns to light
And the world is at peace
This miracle God gave to me
Gives me strength when I am weak
I find reason to believe
In my daughter's eyes
And when she wraps her hand
around my finger
Oh, It puts a smile in my heart
Everything becomes a little clearer
I realize what life is all about
It's hanging on when your heart
Has had enough
It's giving more when you feel
Like giving up
I've seen the light
It's in my daughter's eyes
In my daughter's eyes
I can see the future
A reflection of who I am
And what will be
And though she'll grow
And someday leave
Maybe raise a family
When I'm gone I hope you see
How happy she made me
For I'll be there
In my daughter's eyes

4 month pictures
Here are Rylie's 4 month/Easter pictures. She was being a stinker that day so the shoot was a little more challenging. Actually it was kind of my fault that she wasn't in the best of moods, we were trying to take pictures of her right around her feeding and nap time (plus we were sticking the poor kid in a basket! hahahaha). I didn't get exactly what I wanted in her Easter dress (from her Auntie Heather) but overall I think we still got some nice shots. Rylie & I were there for 3 hours and Sariah took over 200 pictures!
"Thanks again Sariah. You did a great job and were very patient!"

First Place!!!!!!!!
Kyle & his friend Cory went and raced their dirt bikes in the Fire/Police MX race last week. They left Wednesday morning and came home Friday evening (they took the trailer). Kyle got 1st place in his class on the first day (out of 6 guys). Besides it being really cold at night they seemed to have had a lot of fun.

"Good Job Babe!!!"
"big girl food"
Rylie had her first taste of rice cereal today, she did pretty good. For some reason this was hard for me, feeding my baby with a spoon was very strange. I shouldn't be feeding her with a spoon yet?!?! she's my baby, I just had her 4 months ago - what the heck!!! She ate a few spoonfuls and then wanted her bottle, she was pretty tired and just wanted to go to sleep. We'll try again tomorrow...

A Big Day!!!
I took Rylie to her 4 month doctor appointment today. She weighs 11 pounds 4 ounces and is 23 1/4 inches, I couldn't believe it when the nurse said she weighed 11 pounds!!! The doctor also said she gets to start eating rice cereal and in a couple of weeks she can start baby food. Everything looks good and she seems to be right on target with all her developments. Rylie did sooooo good when they gave her her shots, I was a very proud Mama!
On the way home we stopped at the mall and I got her ears pierced! I know I know some of you probably think I'm a bad Mommy for putting my baby through all of that in one day, but I'm glad I did, now it's all over. Again she did amazing. I had a bottle ready, so after they pierced the last ear I stuck the bottle in her mouth and she was fine! The ladies that did it were awesome. Right now she has in little white gold balls, in 4 to 6 weeks we can put in her diamonds that Daddy bought her for Valentine's Day. They also gave her a certificate, it says "Congratulations Rylie on your first ear piercing!", I thought that was nice (something for her scrapbook).
Rylie was such a trooper today, I am so proud of her.

8 years...
Kyle & I met 8 years ago today and we've been together ever since. We met at Fred's Mexican Cantina down in Huntington Beach. The last 8 years have been the best years of my life, we have so much fun together. I couldn't of asked for a better person to share my life with. Here's to many, many more years together!!!
We met on March 9, 2002. This picture was taken June 5, 2004 (it's the oldest picture I could find on my computer...)

MOMMY'S HAPPY GIRL
Jake's 3rd Birthday!!!
Our nephew Jake turned three years old last week! I can't believe it, it seems like just yesterday they were bringing him home from the hospital. His actual birthday was March 3rd, we went to Chuck E. Cheese that night. And then his birthday party was on Saturday. He had so much fun!
"Happy Birthday Jake, we love you!"

On our walk...
Like I said in a previous post Rylie & I try and take a walk everyday. Here are a couple of pictures I took from our walk last Friday...
Can you believe this is Riverside California? This was taken across the street from where we live. Just doesn't look like Riverside with all the green rolling hills.
10 under 10
I got this idea from my friend Amanda's blog who got it from our friend Kristi's blog. My top ten favorite things under ten dollars (not in any particular order)...

Rylie's day...
She usually wakes up somewhere between 6:30-7:30am. We change her diaper, eat and get ready for our day. She lays in her cradle for about 15 minutes and looks at her mobile (and kicks her feet!) so mommy can get ready. Now that she has her bumbo seat she sits in that a couple times throughout the day. We go on a 1/2 hour walk everyday (or at least we try to). We sing songs. Have free time on her activity mat or a blanket (she just loves being free to kick her feet and move her arms). She usually takes a morning nap for about 20 minutes. She goes in her swing for a little while each day. Maybe a trip to Babies R Us or out to eat with Daddy when he wakes up (she loves being out of the house). We change clothes about three times a day (which I guess isn't that bad). She eats 4 1/2 oz. now. She gets a bath every other day. I'm starting to read to her. She loves to watch TV (shhhh don't tell anyone I let my 3 month old watch TV) hahahahaha. She'd rather sleep in her car seat. We play with her toys, she still loves music & lights. We go outside with the dogs for a little while. We try and have "tummy time" but she hates it. She takes a nap in the afternoon, this is when I wash bottles, catch up on my shows, laundry, maybe take a nap too, ect... Then she usually (well lately anyway) goes to sleep around 6:00pm, she's still pretty much sleeping through the night (she might wake up once every now and then).
So in a nut shell that's our day. If Daddy doesn't have to work he tries to get us out of the house and we'll go do something for the day. Rylie & I also try to have "play dates" whenever we can, I wish I knew more stay at home Moms...
She's pretty much on track with her development, my only concern is she hates being on her tummy and she's not really pulling herself up yet. But she does have really good strength & control of her head and neck when she's sitting up so I guess I shouldn't worry too much.
