A blast from the past!

Some of you might be too young to remember Farrell's Ice Cream Parlours, but for those of you who know what I'm talking about...THEY'RE BACK! And they're as yummy as ever! I remember going to Farrell's as a kid, so I wanted to make sure we took my Mom while she was here. We had lunch (and of course dessert!), it was a nice afternoon, brought back a lot of memories :)

L.A. Zoo

My Mom came down from Washington to visit for 2 1/2 weeks...We went to the L.A. Zoo one day while she was here. It was such a great day, the weather was perfect and it wasn't busy at all! All the animals were out, and we even saw some babies! Rylie was such a good girl and loved watching the animals. I love days like these...

Uncle Jimmy's 80th Birthday

Back on February 26th we had a 80th birthday party for my Uncle Jimmy. My family is Scottish, so it was only fitting to have a Scottish celebration in his honor (we even had a Piper!). The party was held at the Newland Barn in Huntington Beach, we all had a very nice time celebrating 80 years of a wonderful man...

Last Friday Rylie woke up with a really bad cough. Throughout the weekend she got worse... runny nose, fever, cough, chest congestion & watery eyes. Rylie never really gets sick, it was very hard to see her this way. She was such a trooper, after her medicine would kick in she would to go outback and play for a little while. Then she would wear herself out, come inside, and pass out on the couch.
Happy to say, she's starting to feel a little better!

surprise visit to Oregon!

My Aunt, cousin, Rylie & I drove up to Oregon last Thursday night to surprise some of our family! It was my cousin Josh's daughters 1st birthday (did you follow all of that? hahaha). They had a party for her on Saturday, it was so great to see everyone! We had such an awesome trip, we even got some snow! I have SO many wonderful pictures (it was hard to pick which ones to put on the blog).  I also have to brag about how well my daughter did in the car, she was amazing! (oh and Rylie's face isn't dirty in all the pictures, she fell and bruised it up pretty good)

Our dear friends Jessica & Garret had their first baby last night. A precious little girl named Paisley. We went to visit them in the hospital today. Isn't she adorable?!?! She's only about 12 hours old in this picture...

Valentine's Day 2012

We had a pretty mellow Valentine's Day this year. Rylie & I got home from Oregon (I'll blog about that later) at 2:00am. Daddy was at work when we got home, but he had flowers, presents, cards & balloons waiting for us, it was a very nice surprise! We spent the day (just the 3 of us) in our pj's, and ordered dinner to-go from Outback. It was a nice way to unwind from our trip.
